How to Break the World Land Speed Record
Mark Chapman
Continuing our popular series of talks looking at how engineers take on some of the most exhilarating of challenges, we are delighted to be hosting a talk by the principal engineer behind the British bid to break the 763mph land speed mark. There is still another year of refinement, testing and practice for the Bloodhound vehicle before making the record attempt, but the engineering and construction of the SSC (Super-sonic Car) is almost complete.
Previous talks in this series (How to break a World Track Cycling / Speed Sailing record) have been over-subscribed so make sure you book early.
